The BTQ-SG8 secondary global unit is an extension unit for the main BTQ-/VM4VM8 controller. Up to 64 BTQ-/VM4VM8 or BTQ-SG8 units can be cascaded through a full redundancy global network.

The BTQ-SG8 can handle a speaker load of 1000 W per zone and 2000 W max. per BTQ-SG8 unit. The BTQ-SG8 expands the amount of available input and output contacts in the system, including 9 monitored EVAC inputs activated by dry contact or relay, 8 logical control inputs, and 8 relay control outputs. The two digital interfaces can connect up to 8 paging consoles or remote units each and be daisy-chained or redundantly looped. It is also equipped with a USB port for playing messages or music files.

In accordance with EN54-16 and UL2572, all components and peripherals of the BOUTIQUE system are monitored, extending from a paging microphone capsule to the end of the speaker lines. The speaker lines are monitored for short circuits, open circuits, and leaks. In addition, volume attenuators can be installed in monitored speaker lines. The BTQ-SG8 is also an eco-friendly product with extremely low power consumption during standby mode.
