The BTQ-SL8 secondary unit is an extension unit for the main controller BTQ-VM4/VM8. It increases the number of zones by another 8 speaker zones. Up to 31 secondary local units BTQ-SL8 can be added per controller via a dedicated digilink local network, providing a maximum of 256 A/B zones and expanding the amount of available input and output contacts in the system at the same time.

The BTQ-SL8 is capable of handling a speaker load of 1000 W per zone and 2000 W max. per unit. The BTQ-SL8 contains 9 monitored EVAC inputs activated by dry contact or relay, 8 logic control inputs, and 8 relay control outputs (configured through a web browser).

Furthermore, the BTQ-SL8 features 1 digital control and paging console interface. According to EN54-16 and UL2572, all components and peripherals of the BOUTIQUE system are monitored. This monitoring extends from a PA microphone capsule to the end of the speaker line. Speaker lines are monitored for short circuits, open circuits, and leaks. Multiple volume attenuators can also be installed on monitored speaker lines. The BTQ-SL8 is also an eco-friendly product with extremely low power consumption during standby mode.
