The PSS-AS is an evacuation console for IDA8 systems that allows for hands-free calls, message playback, and DSP matrix parameter control via a secure monitored bus. The full-color backlit touchscreen is designed for easy operation and offers a total of 168 software keys across 12 pages for zone or group selection. Each key contains a color-changing field indicating that the zone is occupied by a different process. All public address parameters for the desk's operation can be preprogrammed, such as zone assignment, naming, grouping of different buttons, message activation, level control, and pre-call ring setting. The message and ringtone can also be stored in the PSS console. In addition, fader control, button control, and event control can also be preconfigured.
