The IDA8SAB secondary processor hosts advanced digital audio signal processing (DSP), matrix control functions, and a digital message player, along with amplifier monitoring with hot-swappable amplifiers and loudspeaker line impedance monitoring. It can support up to two monitored PSS-AS microphone consoles, up to eight monitored amplifiers plus two backup amplifiers, and public address systems in 8 different zones per unit with A/B line detection according to BS 5839-part 8. With 8 monitored zones for 25V/70V/100V outputs with simultaneous selection, control inputs, and contact outputs, the IDA8SAB provides zone expansion, audio input and output of IDA8 systems, using a secure 48-channel data and audio network via CAT5 or fiber optics, which can be a network of a main processor IDA8C and a maximum of 31 slave units (IDA8SAB) through the ATEÏS local network.
